Core Disaster Life Support® (CDLS®)

CURRICULUM

 

Core Disaster Life Support® (CDLS®) is a 4-hour awareness level course constructed around the DISASTER Paradigm™ and is designed to teach core concepts of disaster management.

S - safety and security

A - assess hazards

S - support

T - treatment and triage

E - evacuation

R - recovery

MASS Triage™ is taught so providers can assist more effectively in the mitigation of the disaster and in the process of triage.

M - move

A - assess

S - sort

S - send

CONTINUING EDUCATION

The Core Disaster Life Support® Course has been approved for 3.5 AMA PRA Category 1 credits.

The American Medical Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
